Our Mission

Crosswave, a member of Youth with a Mission’s King’s Kids International Go Network and a ministry of Gateway Christian Fellowship,
is committed to discipling young people to know God, to love one another and to tell others about Him.

GOALS

  1. Develop Godly character in young people through ongoing, year-round discipleship and encouragement in their relationship with the Lord
  2. Provide accountability and reinforcement of decisions and commitments made during the discipleship process.
  3. Help kids learn to share their faith and witness to their peers.
  4. Provide activities that will help fulfill the need for healthy adventure and challenge.
  5. Organize outreach opportunities to serve and minister. Through practical applications, opportunity will be given to see head knowledge changed to a proven knowledge of God.
  6. Lead youth to see that their call to be witnesses begins right where they live, not only on a summer outreach.
  7. Encourage and challenge other churches and youth ministries to involve their youth in impacting their cities for Jesus Christ.

STRATEGY

The goals of Crosswave will be achieved by:

  1. Establishing a local team that regularly meets and serves during the school year.
  2. Teaching and living core values and principles of King’s Kids.
  3. Training staff and youth in relationships and servant leadership.
  4. Developing ministry platforms through which kids can actively develop and express their faith.
  5. Providing outreach experiences in local and surrounding areas.
  6. Providing resources for summer outreaches to kids.
  7. Encouraging youth to impact their communities for Jesus Christ.
